Technology Now

Only a generation ago the very concept of speaking to friends, families of businesses who might be down the road, the other side of the country or on a different continent, wherever we happen to be at the time would have seemed extraordinary. In fact, the very concept of a mobile phone was largely consigned in most people’s minds to science fiction stories, including the famous communicator devices used by characters in the Star Trek series.

Today, we seem to be living in the future we only dreamed we might see, and taking it for granted every day. In fact, we have exceed the predictions of the future, and already we are able to speak with people even when we’re on the beach, out at sea, or sitting in the park.

But with all technology becoming smarter, smaller and more capable of integration we see the power of video cameras, digital cameras, portable music players, handheld PDAs and mobile phones all brought together into modern gadgets such as the iPhone which can achieve a vast amount, helping us stay in touch, keep in touch, and capture more of the world around us, whilst giving us more time to get out into the world in the first place.
